And It’s Only Been 30 Days…

I can’t believe it’s only been one month since we launched Kiwano Marketing. Just to give you a general idea of what we’ve accomplished in the past 30 days: we have signed two customers, closed two strategic partnership agreements, have been featured on The Green Pages – one of Canada’s major environmental portals online – and got our first article promoted on Environmental Expert. This was only possible through great team work and the full support of our friends and community. Thank you for believing in us!

Green activism has been around for decades, but only in the past years have we started to see businesses become concerned about the environment and their community. While this is a great first step, there’s still much to be done. In fact, according to market researcher Mintel, 49% of consumers say they don’t buy green because of lack of availability of such products. Sustainable companies are already seeing the return on investment of going green; now it’s just a matter of helping traditional businesses do the eco shift.

What’s interesting is that most people believe going green is expensive. This couldn’t be farther from the truth. Simple steps such as reducing the amount of packaging that comes with your product or reusing relevant marketing pieces from a past trade show will save you money (that you can in turn invest on environment-friendly printing, for instance). Your customers will notice the shift. Remember how almost 50% of consumers say they don’t buy green because of lack of products? Well, in my mind, that spells opportunity.

We look forward for Kiwano’s next 30 days. And what better occasion than to celebrate our triumphant first month with the people who matter most to us – our community. We’d love to get your feedback on how we’re doing so far. Would you like to see something improved or done differently at Kiwano Marketing? We’re all ears; send us an email or leave a comment below.

Keep an eye out for our Kiwano launch party coming up. We’ll be distributing limited tickets to our greatest fans. :)

great work. Will connect with you to discover similar opportunities in India.
I am an AIESEC alumnus, and run a start-up that offers Energy Saving Solutions through use of Solar Energy for Water Heating and Lighting and use of LEDs as Energy Efficient replacement of conventional lighting.

The biggest challenge we face is the higher cost of such eco-friendlier solutions as compared to the energy consuming conventional solutions. Though these eco-friendly, green products look expensive on the onset, over a period of time they are a great way to cut a major chunk of everyone’s operation costs.

Good to see more AIESEC alumni going green day by day.

I personally use Google Reader. It’s easy to use and you can share your RSS reader with other users. And it’s Google – simple and intuitive.
